I think I know the area you're talking about and I am pretty sure its just a campsite. My parent's and I went there I think because we don't live far. I don't know if it's really worth bothering.

whitetheshepard
You know for sure you've been there??? Can you email me or something?

loveseven68
I'm not sure I need to email you, its just kind of pointless?

I know I can't just post all my discoveries live, because it wouldn't be possible but also because it would not be right to dump too much info so soon- especially if it ends up being more personal than I realize. But I plan to keep investigating. It might just be some random small town but I think I know someone who lived out that way in a small town. Never know what kind of stories people have to tell when they're out in the rural areas no one goes to!

aladallas
Agreed! I think we're all smart here. Not going to name off real people or addresses. But a town name, perhaps? If you get one? I don't know is 76 wants you to relay that information before you give it.

I know we're assuming this situation would be a small town with no signifigance and thus not easy to research, but I would definitely be glad to lend some help in looking into it. I have done loads of research on many topics, and how found good methods of digging up articles that are otherwise hard to find.

Apologies for a double post. But I did email 76 a bit while doing research (I was too eager, decided I may as well start), to make sure I wouldn't be oversharing potentially private details. This may seem unimportant but I still felt like it was worth noting.

Freya mentioned the place seemed abandoned. I found articles that detail history of things like natural disasters, in wondering if something could cause people to move, like a fire or earthquake. Based on the images and some other information exchanged on the location through email, there have been many wildfires and one tiny earthquake over the last 20 years. But, there was a reported fire with no note of being a wildfire... A fire caused by unnatural means, or possibly arson. But otherwise the record is pretty short with details, it seems like that it was reported by being spotted from a distance. Information about when details were received was *weeks* after it had happened as well.

Is there a chance that anything looked destroyed or burned when you were there, Freya?

Oh ummm thats a good question at this point its been a couple weeks so... i am trying to remember but it did look a bit more "destroyed" and not just abandoned. you think if it wasn't a wildfire then maybe someone did it themself?? i said it but when i say it wasn't far from the town that people seemed to live in i mean that it really wasnt far like idk maybe a 5 or 10 minute drive. you could easily see it especially the scale, it was maybe more like a ranch than just a town since i saw some open feilds and things too.
